Know Your Bill
GGCL has updated your bill with additional information for better facilitation of information related to past consumption trend and break-up calculations, further aligning the same with other statutory compliances. Various fields/parameters have been explained in details in accordance to the legend marked thereof. Even though we have made reasonable efforts in explaining your bill, however we would be happy to receive your call at our Customer Care : 1800 103 5001 (Toll Free).
For payment of bills, you can issue a cheque in the name of Gujarat Gas Company Limited and drop in at various Skypak drop-boxes across the city. Payments can also be made at company authorized collection centres and Suvidhaa outlets.

(Ref point no. 18) : Estimation of consumption if meter reading is not available
If meter reading is not avaible due to house being closed at the time of meter reading visit or any other reason, the meter reading is estimated based on your historical consumption. Such estimated consumption is reversed/adjusted when actual meter reading is received.
(Ref point no. 30/31) : Billing in MMBtu terms
As per PNGRB regulations, it is mandatory for CGD companies to show the gas consumption in MMBtu (Metric Million British Thermal Unit) and charge tariff based on Rs./MMBtu terms. Accordingly, GGCL has made necessary changes in the gas invoices to reflect consumption in MMBtu, in addition to the current practice of measuring and reflecting volume in Standard Cubic Meter (scm). MMBtu is widely associated with measurement of natural gas in the energy terms globally. The conversion between scm and MMBtu can be done based on 1 MMBtu = 252,000 KiloCalorie. In other words “One MMBTU is equivalent to 30 SCM of gas having calorific value of 8400 Kcal/SCM. This value may vary slightly depending on actual calorific value of gas.” The amount of consumption bill/invoice presented in Rs./MMBTu would be same against earlier presented in Rs/SCM. There can be minor difference due to variation in calorific value of gas if any.
(Ref point no. 33) MGO charges :
If the customer's gas consumption is less than 0.167 scm per day, then the difference between actual consumption and 0.167 scm per day is charged as MGO charges. This is calculated for actual consumption days.
(Ref point no. 43) Slab wise break up of gas consumption :
Slab wise break of of gas consumption is calculated based on consumption days (difference of previous and current meter reading date). If the consumption days increase, the basis of slab calculation also increases and there is no loss / gain due to increase / decrease in the consumption days.
