PNG (Piped Natural Gas) is safe, reliable, environment friendly, economical and smart fuel used for Domestic, Commercial & Industrial set-up, wherein natural gas (predominately methane) supplies via pipeline up to consumption point.

PNG (Piped Natural Gas) is the natural gas (predominantly methane) supplied through pipelines to cater the natural gas demand of customers in various segments i.e. Domestic / Commercial & Non - Commercial / Industrial segments.

To register for a new connection request, customers may use following options:
Note: Providing PNG Connection is subject to company’s plan in the authorized Geographical Areas and network availability at respective location.

Following are the steps in providing new domestic PNG connection.
  • Registration for new domestic PNG connection.
  • Submission of requisite documents, signing of Gas Sales Agreement and payment of connection charges Rs 5618/- (zero interest EMI option available).
  • Completion of underground PE network within society/area , above ground GI installation and individual meter installation.
  • Thereafter gas stove is connected to the installed connection via Suraksha hose (rubber tube).
  • Conversion of a new gas stove or existing one running on LPG by changing the burner nozzle for usage of PNG.

Yes, existing gas stove with some modifications can be used for PNG connection. Such conversions (up to 2 burners) shall be carried out by only trained GGL technician(s) FREE-OF-COST.

PNG consumers are allowed by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) to keep one LPG connection in their household for which the supply would be at non-subsidized rate.

An application for new connection may be rejected due to reasons including but not limited to following:
  • Incomplete documents or incorrect ownership proof
  • Wrong / incorrect information regarding address and contact details.
  • Initial payments for application not credited to GGL’s account.
  • Technical reasons for connection being not feasible.
  • Permission for laying of pipeline not issued by local competent authority.

Yes, you can avail PNG connection if you live in a rented house. Tenant can apply for new PNG connection on in his/her name, and submit a No Objection Certificate along with form signed by the lawful owner of the premise along with a valid rent agreement.

One kitchen one connection policy is followed as per directions of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. So, in a house if there are multiple kitchens each kitchen can be provided with a connection. Also, there is possibility to have up to two points per kitchen for ease of usage of PNG at your house.

Enclosed documents are required along with GGL registration form.
  • Copy of Resident Proof i.e. Latest Electricity Bill/ Latest Telephone Bill/ Ration Card.(Any one)
  • Copy of Ownership proof i.e. Latest House Tax Receipt/ Registered Sales Deed/ Allotment letter/ Jamabandi.(Any one)
  • Copy of Identity proof i.e. Election Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ PAN Card/ Passport.(Any one)
  • In case of tenant NOC required and Rent agreement along with address proof (above mentioned).
Note: Any one document of Ration card/ Election card/ Aadhar card is mandatory to be submitted.

GGL collects a refundable security deposit of Rs.5,500/- towards a New PNG Connection wherein Rs 5000/- is towards installations and Rs.500/- towards Gas Consumption Security deposit. Further, currently as per Government taxes and duties, additional non-refundable charges for Rs. 118/- (includes 18% GST) shall be borne by the customer. Yes, the connection charges are regulated by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regularity Board, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.

This could possibly be due to non-availability of gas pipeline in your area / society due to pending statutory permission by competent authority. Once the permission is received, GGL shall plan to lay the gas line in your locality and shall send you the details for completion of PNG application and payment by SMS and / or email.
