Gujarat Gas Company Limited distributes approximately 35 lakh scmd of gas per day to industrial, commercial, domestic and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for vehicles in the cities of Surat, Bharuch and Ankleshwar. This makes it the largest city gas distribution company in India.

Financial performance
During the 12 month period ended on December 2007 the company continued to perform well. For the full year 2007, the consolidated net sales were Rs. 12136 Million compared to Rs. 9365 Million for the corresponding period of the previous year - an increase of 30%. The Profit after Tax was Rs. 1,537 Million, compared to Rs. 882 Million for the corresponding period in the previous year. Increase in sales, stronger margins and one time take or pay income were the main contributors to the increase in profits.
