Year 2009 - Surat Na Sitara Award

Gujarat Gas has received the “Surat Na Sitara” award for the “best consumer oriented company in Surat” in the corporate category at a public function held in Surat on 24th of January 2009. The award, jointly constituted by the Grahak Parishad, Surat, and Gujarat Mitra, was presented by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat, Mr. Ashok Bhatt.

Year 2008 - GREENTECH Safety Award

GGCL was awarded the Greentech Gold Award in Petroleum (Gas) Storage & Distribution Sectorfor Outstanding Achievement in Safety Management by Greentech Foundation, New Delhi for the performance of the year 2007

The awards aim to provide exemplary HSE operations systems and the evidence of their impact to business vitality.

Year 2007 - Shrishti G-CUBE Awards - 2006

The SRISHTI GREEN CUBE AWARDS are Annual Awards for Good Green Governance

These are awarded to corporate entities under various categories of business

GGCL stood Runner up in Infrastructure and Utilities category.

Year 2007 - Prashansa Patra

Prashansa Patra is instituted by the prestegious National Safety Council.

Gujarat Gas was selected to receive Prashansa Patra at the National Safety Council of India 2007 awards ceremony for the year 2006, in the manufacturing sector.

This was awarded to GGCL on the 8^th of January 2008 at Mumbai, received by our MD, Mr. Shaleen Sharma, GM-HSSE Mr. M. P. Muralidharan and two other members from GGCL for having implemented effective Occupational Health & Safety Management system and documented procedures and maintaining and achieving good OSH performance for the past three years, i.e. from 2003 to 2005.

Year 2007 - Chief Executive INNOVATION AWARDS 2006

Chief Executive INNOVATION AWARDS is instituted by the BG Group.

Gujarat Gas Managing Director, Mr. Shaleen Sharma (R) recieving the Highly Commended award from Mr. Frank Chapman, Chief Executive of the BG Group, during the awards ceremony.

GGCL recieved the Chief Executive Innovation Awards 2006 for an initiative in the CNG business.

Year 2007 - Infraline Energy™ Excellence Awards 2007

Infraline Energy Excellence award is instituted by the InfralineEnergy™ Research and Information Services.

GGCL was awarded the prestegious Methane pioneer award for excellence in Natural Gas Distribution.

Mr. Shaleen Sharma (L) recieving the award from Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde, Honourable Union Cabinet Minister for Power, during the awards ceremony.
