Sugata Sircar

Sugata Sircar, Managing Director (GGCL), Non-Executive Director (GFSL)

He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 23 years of multi faceted experience in various industries including energy distribution, manufacturing of chemicals, textiles, tyres and food products.

He has worked as the Finance Director of GGCL for more than five years under secondment from BG Group, UK. At GGCL, he managed all areas in the Finance department, including planning, accounting, taxation and treasury and was also responsible for the Company Secretarial function. He also participated actively in business strategy and championed several process improvement initiatives across the company. On 1st July 2012, he took charge as the Managing Director of GGCL.

He also heads the CII’s Gujarat state panel on Economic Affairs, Finance and Taxation. Prior to joining GGCL, he worked with Cabot India, Madura Coats, Britannia India and Dunlop India Ltd.

Himanshu Upadhyay

Himanshu Upadhyay, Director - Policy & Corporate Affairs

He has 30 years of experience in Banking and Oil & Gas Sector. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree, he pursued Master of Labour Welfare from Gujarat University. Prior to joining Gujarat Gas, Himanshu was holding senior position in HRM function with Bank of Baroda, a leading nationalized bank in India. Himanshu also holds a Diploma in Corporate Communication.

His responsibilities includes Government Relations, Media Relations, Advertising & Promotions, Corporate Social responsibilities and Event Management

Arun Ramakrishnan

Arun Ramakrishnan, Head - Assurance & Strategy

Arun Ramakrishnan, as Head of Assurance & Strategy, is responsible for setting the strategic and assurance framework for the company's projects and investments. He is an expert on infrastructure regulation and project investment appraisal.

Before his present appointment, Arun was working as Regulation Manager (Emerging Markets) for BG Group Plc based out of Reading, UK. He has worked with governments and national oil companies in emerging markets to set up the policy and regulatory framework for the development of the natural gas industry. He was also involved in co-managing the 2009 tariff review for Comgas, BG Group's gas distribution subsidiary in Brasil.

Arun started his career with Crisil Limited in its infrastructure advisory division. He has advised state governments to restructure their electricity boards as part of power sector reforms. He has also advised electricity companies on feasibility studies for a number of power projects and tariff review applications.

Arun is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA, London. He has completed Executive Education in Corporate Finance from the London Business School.

Chirag Brahmbhatt

Chirag Brahmbhatt, Director - Human Resources & Admin

He holds a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources Development with 13 plus years of experience in the area of organisation development, industrial relations, learning and development, change management, compensation/benefits, performance management and talent management.

As Head HR & Administration, he is responsible for all functions under Human Resources as well as the facilities management across all the operations. He has also held additional responsibilities of Location Incharge for Ankleshwar/Bharuch area for 2 years. In this role his primary responsibilities were driving HSSE agenda, liasioning and building sustainable relationship with government authorities, customer/industry associations and managing people issues. Prior to joining Gujarat Gas, he has worked with Atul Limited, A Lalbhai Group Company.

Nitesh Bhandari

Nitesh Bhandari - Financial Contoller (GGCL)

He is a Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience in various verticles of finance and planning.

In his current role as Financial Controller of GGCL, he is responsible for all finance functions, including business planning, participation in strategy, fund management, internal control, risk management, accounting, financial reporting, taxation and treasury.

Prior to joining Gujarat Gas, he was working with GlaxoSmithkline Pharmaceuticals Limited.
