Industrial retail- as the name suggests, are customers from the industrial sector who use piped natural gas both for energy and process needs. Key consuming Industries are pharmaceutical, chemical, textile, dyes & intermediates, diamond, pesticides, glass & ceramics etc...
Customers in this group prefer natural gas because it is cheaper than naphtha or fuel oil (other options). Natural gas is also more compatible with modern technologies in process industries. Again, there is considerable pressure (from the judiciary and environmentalists) to switch to natural gas from other non eco friendly fuels. Another driver that has helped increase natural gas use by the industrial segment is the de-licensing of the captive power plants. This segment is likely to favor gas because of its favorable image with regards to installation, operation and use.

After the customer signs the Gas Supply Agreement, all his needs and requirements are taken care by Contract Management Team. We have a dedicated Customer Support Cell (CSC) specifically for Industrial Retail customers, to assist with all gas related queries. CSC is the nodal agency to co-ordinate with the concerned departments of the company to answer and resolve all queries.
